Tips for a New CrossFitter
CrossFit is a fitness program which combines strength training with cardio workouts. It was started by Greg Glassman in 2004 and it became popular among gym-goers in 2010. There are many different types of exercises such as: pullups, pushups, squats, lunges, burpees…etc. But there is one exercise which is very common and that’s the squat. You can do squats without any equipment at all. They are not only good for improving your overall physical condition but they are also great for building muscle mass.
So why don’t you try them?
What Is A Squat? A squat is a type of exercise where you stand up straight with feet shoulder width apart and hold onto something like a bar or floor to keep yourself from falling down. If you want to improve your balance, flexibility and coordination then squats will definitely benefit you!
How To Do A Squat?
There are two ways to perform a squat. One way is to start off standing with your feet shoulder width apart and then slowly lower yourself until you touch the ground. This method is called the “floor press” method because you would use your hands to help you get back up if needed. The second way is to slowly lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the ground. There are many ways you can do this but the most common ways are the “lifeless body” and the “coiled spring” method.
Tips For A New CrossFitter
If you’re experiencing pain while attempting to do a squat, then stop right away. You need to talk to a medical professional before continuing with any sort of physical activity.
