Wodapalooza 2019: A Brief History of the Event
The first ever wodapalooza was held in 2006 at the University of Washington. The event attracted over 2,000 participants from all around the world. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest music festivals in North America. The festival has been held every year since its inception.
In 2016, the event took place in Vancouver BC. It drew close to 5,000 attendees from all over the world.
In 2017, the event moved to Chicago’s Grant Park where it grew even bigger than before with over 10,000 attendees attending. The 2018 edition of Wodapalooza was held in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park which had a capacity of nearly 15,000 people.
Wodapalooza 2019 will take place in Austin, Texas from July 30th – August 3rd. The festival is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees. It is the second time that Austin has hosted Wodapalooza. The first time was back in 2010 when it attracted 11,500 attendees.
What Makes Wodapalooza Special?
There are many reasons why people flock to Wodapalooza each year. The most important of them is the music, of course. Wodapalooza has an impressive lineup of musicians and DJs. Last year’s headliners included the likes of The Chainsmokers, Zedd, Kygo, Galantis, Illenium and many more.
While the music is certainly important, there is much more to Wodapalooza than just that. Most people come for the fun and unique experiences that you can’t get anywhere else. Activities at the festival range from yoga sessions to foam parties. Wodapalooza is a place where you can push your physical limits while having plenty of fun in the process.
Wodapalooza has become much more than just a music festival. It is much closer to a lifestyle brand. Over the years, it has grown to include several side events and initiatives all over North America. In addition to the music festival, there are also Wodapalooza All Star Competitions, Wodapalooza Training Camps, Wodapalooza Cruise, and much more.
What is There to Do at Wodapalooza?
Every year the Wodapalooza event features a different theme. This year’s theme is called Celebrate. It revolves around music, of course, but also food, decorations, and activities. All the different festival areas have a unique theme that ties directly into the overall Celebrate theme.
Wodapalooza features several sub-festivals within the main one. One of them is the WTFest Comedy Festival, which takes place at the same time as Wodapalooza. The festival includes 10 of the best stand-up comedians from around the world. The comedians perform at various venues in Austin.
Wodapalooza has also become a motivational and inspirational event for many people. The festival features different speeches, talks and classes that have to do with health, music, dance, and other fun activities.
WTFest is a collection of some of the most popular EDM artists and DJs from around the world. In the past, the WTFest has brought in artists like Calvin Harris, Zedd, Kygo, The Chainsmokers and many more.
Lastly, there’s the Wodapalooza Training Camp. This is a collection of some of the best fitness instructors from around the world who hold classes at different locations throughout Austin during Wodapalooza. The classes range from high intensity interval training to pilates and yoga.
You can get a 3-Day Wodapalooza Pass for $295.00.
You can also get a Single Day Wotdapalooza Pass for $125.00.
The Single Day Wotdapalooza Pass is not available for Friday. The pass is valid for admission on any other day except for the following: Friday.
Children aged 10 and under can get a free Wotdapalooza Pass. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
There are no discounts on ticket prices on the day of the festival. If there are any unused tickets, they cannot be returned or refunded.
You can also get a Wodapalooza Donation Voucher for someone else. The voucher costs $1 but the value of it is infinite. The voucher can be redeemed for one admission to Wotdapalooza.
Wodapalooza Transportation and Parking
Since Wodapalooza happens in Austin, you’ll have to find your own way to get there. The cheapest way would be to travel by bus. From inside the Austin city limits, you can take the Metro bus to Burnett Road at Woodward Street and get off. From there, you’ll have to walk about a mile and a half to get to Carson Creek Ranch.
If you’re traveling from elsewhere in Texas, then you can choose from several different methods of transportation. You can drive yourself, take a taxi, or hire a chauffeur.
If you need to rent a wheelchair accessible vehicle, then the best way to do that is by pre-booking it. The vehicles can be picked up at the airport or elsewhere in the city.
There are several hotels located near the Wotdapalooza location. The price of the hotel rooms fluctuate depending on the location and ratings. If you want to stay at a hotel near the festival, make sure you book your room as soon as possible. If you’re on a budget, there are several cheap hotels located near the airport or in the city.
Wodapalooza Lost and Found
If you lose something at Wotdapalooza and find that it’s been lost and recovered, then all found items can be returned to the information booth at Carson Creek Ranch.
The weather in Austin, Texas can be extreme during the spring and fall months. The temperature can range from the 80’s to the 90’s during the day and can drop as low as the 50’s at night. Make sure you pack for both warm and cool weather since you never know what to expect.
The Wotdapalooza festival starts on Friday morning at 8:00 AM and ends late Saturday night.
Wotdapalooza Rules and Code of Conduct
The Wotdapalooza is a family-friendly event. All ticket holders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
No pets are allowed at the festival, except for certified service animals.
You can’t bring any outside food, drinks, or alcohol into the festival grounds. There will be plenty of food vendors and limited beverage services.
No fireworks, weapons of any kind, or any other item that can cause harm to another person are allowed on the festival grounds.
The use of illegal drugs or substances will not be tolerated at Wotdapalooza.
You can’t start any fights or physically assault another person inside or near the festival grounds.
Don’t spoil the fun for everyone else. Be respectful of your fellow music fans, the locals in Austin, and take only photographs, leave only footprints, and a good impression of our lifestyle.

The College Student
This girl attends a local college and is really excited to see her favorite band, Whatever the Coast Is Currently Playing. She’s a little nervous about staying at a hotel because she’s never done it before. However, she’s really excited to meet new people and go see all the bands that she’s listened to on the radio. She’s also super pumped to see that one of her favorite bands is Headlining on Saturday night.
The High School Student
This girl just turned 18 and couldn’t wait to turn legal so she could finally go to some concerts.
